DLIA is launching the next phase of its work, the Global Biodiversity Census, and we need your help. We are taking 15 years of expertise in coordinating a comprehensive inventory of the biological diversity from our home in the southern Appalachians to natural areas around the world.
Our mission is
to obtain a baseline estimate of the world's total biodiversity by intensive, scientific sampling of life at selected reserves, parks, and other priority areas while instilling communities with a strong awareness of biodiversity and an appreciation of the fragile complexity of our natural resources.
